Duties
and responsibilities: broad range of medicine practices sharing common concepts
which have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than
2,000 years, including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage,
exercise, and dietary therapy. It is primary used as a complementary
alternative medicine.
Salary:$75,000-$80,000
per year.
Education:
A bachelor’s or associate’s degree (or the equivalent, with 60 semester
units from an accredited college or university) is required for admission into
an AOM program. three years for acupuncture and four years for the combination
of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. The Oriental medicine program includes
the study of Chinese herbology.
Being
a Chinese oriental medicine worker for my career is not really what I want but
it kind of is because it relates with medicine and I want to be something that
is related with medicine.
